Protec are launching the following two new exciting educational programmes along with a leading education provider where players will be given the opportunity to gain a first class education whilst receiving excellent football coaching and playing in two of the leading independent schools in the Uk. (School fees apply) Both programmes are open to all uk and foreign students.
SCHOOL ONE - Based in Suffolk
Based near Ipswich, this is a full time educational programme that requires you to attend one of our independent schools 9am-4pm and some weekends board and lodgings are included (price and information on application).
THE PROGRAMME
The elite football Academy runs as a fully integrated programme for both boys and girls and is run internally by and ex premier and England international player along with a fully U.E.F.A qualified staff.
The team have a track record of students’ progressing onto county and national level teams following their development programme.
The team have access to professional equipment onsite including a recent multi-million-pound investment into facilities, video analysis software and PlayerTek GPS vest units. Along with this, there is onsite mentoring sessions including strength and conditioning and one-to-one analytic mentoring sessions. The School is linked with an ex-Premier League club where the players will be able to spend time training with the clubs dedicated coaches.
If a player is deemed to be of high enough quality, they may be invited to train with the academy squad.
Along with this protec will provide the opportunity to play in the Junior Premier League squads at weekends.
Players will receive 14-16 hours of football coaching and playing time every week, which is equivalent to many professional academies. This time will be split up into various training methods including tactical training, psychological training and a highly competitive fixture list which ranges from other schools to professional academies. This programme will run throughout the school year including the summer term, compared to similar schools which will stop any footballing activity in the summer term.

Education
The School ensures a balance between sporting and academic life with a wide range of GCSE, A-level and vocational curriculum options. The School uses small class sizes with outstanding teachers and as a result, attains excellent exam results across the board in at GCSE level and above. The College has a track record of 100% pass rates with students moving onto higher education institutes including Loughborough, Bath and Hartpury. In the most recent inspection, the School was awarded the highest grade possible, excellent by Ofsted.
The School is currently establishing an SAT Programme for those students wishing to enter the USA Higher Education process and an impressive number of students have also been awarded professional sports contracts with national and international clubs.

Football Academy
At this school, students in both Sixth Form and the years below can attend the Football Academy. The students must take 3 A levels if in Sixth Form and those below must take the required academic course appropriate to their age and ability and they will need to involve themselves in the school’s co-curricular programme.
An ex-Premier League footballer who is a qualified UEFA Pro Licensed coach oversees the Football Academy. The coach has a list of accolades including; managing an English team at a professional level and being a founder of an academy in Spain. With his access to a full range of facilities that rival any Professional Academy, he can maximise any footballer’s potential. The school has many facilities which the Football Academy has access to including five full-size pitches, and indoor and outdoor all-weather training surfaces, a heated indoor swimming pool and a full range of sports training facilities to build up the students’ athletic capabilities.
The programme will be full-time that will develop players fivefold, technically, tactically, physically, mentally and socially and within the school’s ethos. The Players will have a competitive games programme that will include at least two matches per term against professional football clubs, this will provide students with the opportunity to test their skills against high-calibre opposition. The students will spend a minimum of 20 hours contact time playing football per week, additionally; they will participate in a weekly league or cup matches that take place on a Wednesday afternoon. This gives the players a chance to experience playing at a variety of levels.
The school does not only concentrate on developing the footballer on the pitch. With football being a very competitive game, the school helps to give players an insight into the various careers in the industry. There are two programmes ran per term for the students to experience other areas withing football including Sports Science, Recruitment, Analysis, Scouting, Coaching and Refereeing.
Education
The school offers a first-class education which can be seen in recent results. In the last academic year, the school posted record results for GCSEs. Over 70% of students achieved a grade A*-B, and 94.7% achieved A*-C Grades. The school prides itself on being a non-selective school and are proud of the ability to add value to all of the pupil’s academic performances. After completing GCSEs students can advance to the Schools Sixth Form centre. The Sixth Form has replicated the excellent grades with a 95% pass rate and 43% achieving A*-B in the last academic year. The Sixth Form has a track record of securing places at top UK universities with many students attending 24 leading UK universities which are represented by The Russel Group.
