Protec Head Coach Pete Edwards and Assistant Head Coach Dan Edwards were invited to spend time at the Ajax Coaching and Performance Centre in Holland in May 2013. Since returning Protec have put in place  a number of the Ajax coaching and performance methods along with their own coaching and philosopy on youth development, this combination has resulted in a significant improvement in the development of our players. The introduction of this new system has seen a record number of our  Protec Pre Academy players  gaining trials and  signings for Premier and league clubs. Pete said "This was a very valuable and informative time for us, being given the opportunity to observe all age groups training from age 8 to the first team. As a result, the coaching and performance system that we have gone on to adopt supported by our own strenths have produced excellent results for our players".
