Protec Sports Accredited Training Course Programme

BTEC National

 

 

This course option is for boys with proven playing ability selected by trial who seek a first class education and have predicted grades A to C at GCSE level. You will be entering one of our established six form sports colleges along with existing Protec students.

 




BTEC National



You will study either BTEC national along with one selected AS level in any chosen subject, the BTEC national is equivalent to 2 a levels with the additional AS level this will give you enough UCAS points to enter university.



 
















 

Entry Requirements

For entry onto this program you must have 5 A to C
 
grades at GCSE along with satisfactory references.


A successful CRB check

Places are subject to a successful football trial.

Acceptance to year 2 is subject to satisfactory achievement and references.

You must have a keen interest in coaching.

Entry from the BTEC National can lead you into university, paid or unpaid work in the community

Training and Games



Training is mapped out over a five day period with games played ion a Monday or Wednesday you will represent the sports college in the national ESFA league and Protec associated teams see leagues.





 

Facilities



Our  school has just finished a total upgrade of sports facilities which will include a full size 4 th  generation full size floodlit pitch and 3 new full size grass playing pitches, along with changing and shower facilities.

Costs if you are U18

  • If you are u18 and have been a permanent resident in the E.U. for the last 3 years course costs are free.
