About Us
The aim of Protec football academy is to
develop talent whilst gaining valuable academic qualifications at
the same time. We currently have 45 boys studying for A level
and BTEC national subjects at level 3. And have produced some
outstanding A level students some of which have gone on to do
university degrees others have been lucky enough to gain
professional contracts along with a great set of qualifications.
Protec places education first, why you may ask? we have been in this
industry for over 15 years and with our experience football is a
very hard area to break into and does not always work out
at professional level for many players, some go on to work and play
at non league level as many from this academy have done in the past
some have forged great
careers in non league Warren Macbean currently at Chelmsford, Kesie
Ibe at Ebbsfleet are great examples of Protec players gaining a
great education leaving the academy and going on to work full time
combining that with a career in non league, another example of this
is Steve Morison who gained all of his qualifications at Protec
moved into non league whilst
holding down a full time job and has recently moved from
Stevenage borough to Millwall on a three year contract.
At Protec not only are you going to get the best coaching,
you
will play for Protec associated teams at under 18 and 19 this gives
all our players the added benefit of being able to play against and
be seen by professional clubs. Protec has a wealth of experience and
has a number of links with clubs ranging from the premier league
right through to the football league, and should any club show an
interest in a player Protec will organise a trial period with that
club. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website, click a Protec
centre near you to apply.

of making it into the professional game, the whole
atmosphere was very professional and I was hugely impressed
