Protec is one of the leading and most established accredited Academies in the UK with over 16 years in the Football industry having produced players that play in the professional and non league game.
We are offering the opportunity for you to join us on our new comprehensive football development and coaching programme. The initial part of the course takes 4 weeks, followed by you gaining 12 hours of logged coaching sessions some of which can be undertaken at the academy, with the remainder of your sessions in a football environment arranged by yourself. if successfully completed this qualification could lead to paid work in football community projects, soccer schools and centre development programs

This new 4 week course comprises of
- Comprehensive football coaching from our U.E.F.A qualified coaches and tutors.
- Level 2 coaching certificate.
- Necessary non paid work experience within the academy while qualifying.
- The possibility of playing in our conference u19 youth or capitol league team.
Course Location: Hertfordshire
Duration: 4weeks (4 days a week) The final assessment dates for the level 2 coaching award will be a further 2 days in addition to the above dates to be arranged.
- 2 days mock assessment (additional Saturday and Sunday tba)
- 2 days final assessment (additional Saturday and Sunday tba)
Program of Study
- Plan and prepare a series of coaching sessions.
- Maintain an environment in which participants can improve their performance.
- Coach participants to improve their performance.
- Evaluate coaching sessions and develop personal coaching practice.
Level Two Coaching Certificate program of study:
- Induction
- Roles and skills of the football coach
- Warm up Routines
- Long term player development (coach educator facilitated session)
- Coach educator themed demonstration.(Passing)
- Emergency procedures (home task)
- Ball control session (themed demonstration)
- Session plans
- Defensive principles
- Attacking principles.
- Emergency aid (3 hour module)
- Child protection (module 3 hour module)
- On line laws of the game (home task)
- Signing off of all completed portfolios
- Two mock assessment days (Saturday And Sunday tba)
- Final assessment days (Saturday and Sunday tba)
Progression
Candidates who successfully achieve the level two coaching certificate registers you as a listed coach and enables you to apply for paid work in professional community projects, development centres and team coaching up to under 16 age groups. It also has the added benefit of starting you on the coaching ladder to the U.E.F.A B coaching diploma.
Entry Requirements
- 17 – 25 years of age.
- Necessary CRB Check.
- Two Satisfactory references
- Proof of ID (Photographic evidence i.e. passport/driving license)

For candidates that fail to pass or complete the final assessment will have the option to re take again within a twelve month period (reassessment charges apply).
